UAZ has listed 5 updates that await the Patriot and Pickup SUVs in 2026

The main technical innovation in UAZ SUVs in 2026 will be a new power unit: a 2.0 diesel engine and a new transmission. The press service of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant told Motor magazine about this.

“In the third quarter of 2026, updated vehicles of the UAZ family will enter the market. The models will receive restyling and new power units: a two-liter diesel engine, a six-speed gearbox (including for the gasoline version) and an electromechanical transfer case,” the press service of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant told the magazine.

In addition to power units, the cars will receive new steering wheels made in Russia from magnesium alloy, as well as airbags. The update of the model range will begin with the Patriot and Pickup, and then will affect the commercial version of the Pro.

The company noted that all key components (engines, gearboxes and security systems) are produced at Sollers group enterprises located in Elabuga, Ulyanovsk and Zavolzhye.

It was previously reported that UAZ would rename the SUV for the first time in the history of the Hunter model.
