Sollers shared a video about the production of a six -speed mechanical transmission at the capacities of the Zavolzhsky Motor Plant (ZMZ), which is part of the holding. Now the gearboxes are collected in experimental mode, full -fledged production will be launched before the end of this year. Units are intended for Sollers pickups, Argo and Atlant models, and in the future for UAZs. The pilot party is already ready – these are boxes adapted for pickups.

They plan to put a localized Jac gearbox on UAZs. It will be combined with a 136-horsepower two-liter diesel engine of the same Chinese brand-such a bunch will be offered both for “patriots” and “pickups” and “pros”. Earlier it was reported that the UAZ itself predicts the share of diesel “patriots” in the general sale of a model at 15-20 percent.

In addition to the new ligament of the motor and the gearbox, other updates are also prepared for the Patriot. In particular, it will acquire a new multimedia system and an electronic control unit with a distribution box, the optics will be LED. During the planned restyling, the design of the exterior and interior will change.

In the meantime, Patriot can only be bought with a non -alternative gasoline engine of 2.7 liters with a capacity of 150 horsepower in combination with a five -speed “mechanics”. The box was recently improved: they reduced internal pressure, eliminated oil leaks and generally increased reliability.
