Volkswagen delays launch of Scout off-road brand by a year due to technical problems

While details have not been disclosed, the delay could also be due to financial aspects of the project. Scout does not officially confirm or deny this information.

Scout’s official website states that production is scheduled to begin in 2027. However, there is a note that the period may be changed under the influence of various factors.

At the moment, the brand has about 150 thousand refundable deposits for future models. We are talking about the Scout Traveler electric SUV and the Scout Terra pickup truck.

Both models will be available with electric powertrains with a range of approximately 563 km. The version with an increased power reserve will be able to travel more than 805 km.

Earlier it was reported that the revived Russo-Balt brand promised to reduce prices.
