The press service of AvtoVAZ officially confirmed that the premiere of ISKRA will take place in a week-July 18 of this year. Sales will begin two days later, on the day of the 59th anniversary of AvtoVAZ. First of all, cars will be brought to dealers in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Togliatti, and then the “sparks” will appear in other cities of Russia.
On July 18, AvtoVAZ promises to reveal the configurations and prices of LADA ISKRA. According to preliminary data, it will cost from 1.2 million rubles – more expensive than Granta, but cheaper than the basic Vesta. However, the “simple” ISKRA with an eight-valve motor of AvtoVAZ will be released little, and it will make a bet on more expensive versions with a 16-valve.
ISKRA stood on the AvtoVAZ conveyor on April 19 this year. It is released with a body sedan, station wagon and cross-universal. In terms of dimensions, it also occupies a niche between Granta and Vesta: the length of all versions is about 4.3 meters.

The motor gamut includes 1.6 -90 and 106 horsepower engines. The first is a five -speed “mechanics”, the second – a six -speed manual transmission or a variator.

AvtoVAZ capacities allow you to produce 150 thousand ISKRA per year, but at first the circulation will be small. In the first year, only 20 thousand copies of the novelty will come from the assembly line, the head of the auto giant Maxim Sokolov previously said. It is planned to increase the pace of production gradually, as demand grows.
