The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia is going to adjust the mechanism for calculating the recycling fee again. From November 1, the engine power will go into the calculation: preferential rates will be left only for cars with engines that outstand less than 160 horsepower. According to the new project, the maximum payment since 2030 may exceed 10 million rubles, Izvestia write.
Passenger cars over three years, equipped with an engine with a volume of more than 3.5 liters and with a capacity of more than 500 horsepower, will be covered with a collection of 10.081 million rubles from 2030.
From November 1, 2025, the preferential boards of utilsbor (3.4–5.2 thousand rubles) per vehicles imported for personal use will only be valid for the machines “weaker” 160 forces.
