In the Republic of Bashkortostan, a motorhome based on the V3S all-wheel drive truck of the Czechoslovakian brand Praga is up for sale. The V3S index stands for Vojenská 3tunová Speciální, that is, “special military vehicle with a payload of 3 tons.”
When driving on asphalt, it is allowed to transport 5.3, and on a short shoulder – 6.2 tons of cargo. It is important for a potential buyer to know that driving for a long time on good roads is allowed at a speed of no more than 50 km/h.
From 1953 to 1985, 61,646 V3S units were produced. All of them were equipped with 6-cylinder air-cooled diesel engines with an output of 98 hp. Since the engine is located under the cabin module, the creators of the car made the hood as short as possible.
The copy that is up for sale costs 550 thousand rubles. His metal kung is equipped as a living compartment: inside there are beds, a built-in wardrobe, a TV and air conditioning. The seller notes that the truck is registered with the traffic police.
