Following the world premiere of the updated flagship Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, Russian dealers have decided on the timing of its appearance in Russia. The start of sales of the model is scheduled for the summer of 2026. Yuri Blinov, marketing director of the Avilon automobile group, told Motor magazine about this.
“The new Mercedes-Benz Maybach S-Class will arrive at Avilon dealerships in late summer or early autumn of this year,” Blinov said.
According to him, the exact timing of the release of a new product on the Russian market depends on the production cycle of the manufacturer, as well as on the time required to build logistics chains and go through customs procedures.
The main visual difference between the updated limousine and the base sedan is the design of the front part, as well as a set of color schemes for individualizing the exterior. Instead of horizontal slats, like a regular S-Class sedan, the Maybach radiator grille received vertical elements.
An illuminated Maybach nameplate appeared on the hood, and the classic three-pointed star of Mercedes-Benz also acquired backlighting. Similar illuminated Maybach emblems were placed on the rear pillars. When the doors are opened, brand logos appear on the ground. Rose gold inserts appeared in the headlights.
The cabin has a front panel with three displays. For rear passengers, there are 13.1-inch screens on the backs of the front seats and a 10-liter refrigerator. For the first time, a Maybach is offered with leatherette and fabric trim made from recycled materials.
The engine range includes a four-liter V8 with 537 hp. There is also a rechargeable hybrid based on a three-liter inline six (585 hp) and a powerful six-liter V12 biturbo engine (612 hp) for the S680 version.
