Next year, the company is going to increase prices for Lada, but they are going to keep growth at a level below inflation, AvtoVAZ General Director Maxim Sokolov said in a conversation with an Izvestia correspondent. According to him, in essence, such indexation is a reduction in price.
Sokolov admitted that the cost of Lada cars will change taking into account inflation. However, he promised that they would try to keep the indexation, which will take place next year, at a level slightly below inflation.
“Indexation of prices by an amount below inflation from an economic point of view is an actual reduction in prices,” said the head of AvtoVAZ.

He also recalled that until the end of the year the cost of Lada cars, as promised, will not change. Next, AvtoVAZ intends to “act according to the situation.” Earlier, Sokolov said that he allowed price indexation in 2025 due to the growth of the Central Bank key rate and the fall of the ruble. The last time prices were indexed was in August of this year.
Meanwhile, following the results of the first week of winter, the Russian car market began to grow again after a lull in November. Experts say that Russians are buying cars in anticipation of a new rise in prices due to the next increase in recycling rates. Moreover, a car in Russia is no longer considered only as a means of transport, but also as a profitable investment.
