AvtoVAZ installed equipment for installing a unique Lada Azimut option

A robotic stand for installing a panoramic roof started working on the main conveyor belt of the car plant. As the AvtoVAZ press service clarifies, to install the option, the body is redirected to a separate area. This allows installation without stopping the main conveyor, and the operation itself takes about 4 minutes.

Lada Azimut will be the first model of the brand to receive a panoramic roof and a sliding sunroof. According to the plan, about 40% of cars produced will receive this option.

Previously, laser body welding technology was introduced for the first time for the project. This technology is required when welding critical points responsible for maintaining the specified body geometry.

Previously, Lada told when it would be possible to buy the Azimut crossover. This is the first crossover of the Tolyatti brand, if we consider the Niva an SUV, and the XRAY Cross a hatchback.
