A crossover based on the current generation BMW X7 will be produced in limited edition at the plant in Spartanburg (USA). Buyers will be able to order cars in historical Alpina colors – a tribute to the legendary tuning studio, which sold the historical brand to the Bavarian automaker itself.
The new product, called XB7 Manufaktur, will be released in a circulation of only 120 copies intended for the USA and Canada. Vehicle production at the BMW plant in Spartanburg (South Carolina) will begin in September 2026. The choice of location for assembly is symbolic: it was here in 2020 that production of the first Alpina began, assembled outside the workshops in the German city of Buchloe.
The main feature of the car is its exterior design. Buyers will be offered only two body color options previously unavailable for the XB7: matte green and matte blue. Both colors are a tribute to the history of the studio. Regardless of the choice, the car will receive a full body kit in glossy black Shadowline. The radiator grille, window moldings, exhaust pipes, as well as 23-inch forged wheels with a classic 20-spoke design are painted in it.

The interior of all 120 cars will be unified: the seats are trimmed with truffle-colored genuine leather and walnut veneer decor. The historical blue-green Alpina emblem is embroidered on the front headrests. Another detail is a silver plate on the center console with an engraving of the car’s serial number – from 1 to 120. Standard equipment includes separate second-row seats, Bowers & Wilkins acoustics and an 8-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel paddle shifters.
Included with each car, the buyer will receive two branded leather travel bags to match the interior.
As expected, under the hood of the car, a 4.4-liter V8 biturbo engine with a power of 631 hp, which produces 590 Nm of torque, has been preserved. From zero to 60 mph (96 km/h), the three-ton SUV shoots in 3.9 seconds. There is an adaptive air suspension with variable ground clearance, active stabilizers and a fully controlled chassis with steering rear wheels. The price of the car is $180 thousand (14.2 million rubles).
The release of the XB7 Manufaktur marks not just a farewell to the XB7, but also a new era in history: from 2025, Alpina officially became part of BMW, and future models will be developed under the wing of the parent company.
