The company’s top manager Li Yunfei called the U9 Xtreme the most expensive model of the car dealership. A total of 30 of these machines will be produced. One copy was brought to the exhibition, and the head of the company, Wang Chuanfu, himself handed it to the buyer. CarNewsChina reports this.
The high cost of the model is justified by its characteristics. The U9 Xtreme achieved a Nurburgring lap time of 6:59.157, placing it first among production electric vehicles. The car also broke records on several tracks in China.
Specifications include a claimed power of over 3,000 hp. and 1200-volt architecture. The car received a fully active BYD DiSus-X suspension, as well as reinforced brakes with carbon-ceramic discs.
At the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, the Yangwang brand (owned by BYD) showed two models: the U9 Xtreme supercar and the U8L luxury four-seater SUV. The latter is positioned in the premium segment; its main competitor is called the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600. It was previously reported that the price of the U8L will exceed 179.4 thousand dollars (approximately 13.4 million rubles).
