In the first quarter of 2026, 2,721 new Moskvich cars were sold in Russia, which is 25.6% less than in the same period last year. Experts from the analytical agency Autostat report this.

“Almost 80% of the total sales volume of the domestic brand was accounted for by the Moskvich 3 crossover, which in quantitative terms corresponds to 2,165 units. Another 7% belongs to the Moskvich 6 liftback (194 units), and 4% to the Moskvich 5 crossover (112 units),” the publication says.

The remaining 9% fell on several models: the Moskvich 8 crossover (87 units), the Moskvich 3e electric crossover (33 units) and two new items in the M line – Moskvich M70 (76 units) and Moskvich M90 (54 units). In addition, almost a third of all new Moskvich cars sold in the first quarter were registered to legal entities, and the remaining 67.2% were purchased by individuals.
