During the 20th week of 2026 (from May 11 to May 17), 1,223 new Changan cars were sold in Russia. This result allowed the Chinese brand to enter the top five most popular brands on the Russian market for the first time this year. This was reported by the analytical agency Autostat.

As noted by Dmitry Yarygin, deputy head of the analytics department of the Avtostat agency, last week Changan outsold the Belarusian brand Belgee, whose result was 1,150 cars. Higher in the ranking are the already familiar four brands: Lada (6,749 units), Tenet (3,526 units), Haval (2,847 units) and Geely (1,488 units).

Sales of other brands did not exceed thousands of cars. Toyota, Jetour, Jaecoo and Solaris also made it into the top ten. In total, in the 20th week of 2026, 25,046 new passenger cars were sold in Russia. This is 3% less than the week before, but 12.4% more than the same week last year.
