Russian and Chinese brands are updating their model lines in the spring and summer of 2026. The Geely Coolray is already back on sale after a break, the Changan Uni-V received a 2.0 engine, and on the horizon are the flagship Hongqi Guoya sedan, crossovers under the legendary Volga name and a completely new Esteo brand. Motor magazine has collected the most interesting things.

The compact crossover disappeared from the radar for several months, but has now returned – and in a single configuration (we previously wrote about it in detail). Under the hood is a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 147 hp, paired with a 7-speed “robot” with two clutches. Fuel consumption in the combined cycle is about 6.5 l/100 km, which looks very decent for the city and highway.

Price – 2.9 million rubles. There are essentially no options: the car is only purple mother-of-pearl with a black roof. But the equipment is rich: adaptive cruise control (operates from 0 to 150 km/h), lane keeping assistant, blind spot monitoring, sign recognition and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. In the cabin there is a 14.6-inch multimedia screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, faux leather seats, heated seats for all seats, steering wheel, windshield and washer nozzles.

The restyled liftback got rid of the previous 1.5-liter engine. Now under the hood is a 2.0-liter turbo engine with a cast-iron cylinder block, producing 235 hp. It is paired with an 8-speed hydromechanical Aisin automatic transmission. The drive is front-wheel drive (officially not full-wheel drive, although in some markets there is an AWD version).

The main feature of the update is the active rear spoiler, which automatically rises at speed. The interior features a sports steering wheel with aluminum shift paddles, a black headliner and faux suede inserts. For Russia, all seats, steering wheel, windshield and rear windows are heated. The base includes six airbags, a video recorder and an electric trunk lid.
Volga
The revival of the domestic brand was announced in April 2026, with sales starting in the summer of 2026. The C50 sedan and K40 and K50 crossovers are technically twins of the Geely Preface, Atlas and Monjaro. They differ only in decor and emblems.

The K40 crossover has two engines to choose from: 1.5 (147 hp, 7-speed automatic) and 2.0 (200 hp, 8-speed automatic). The C50 sedan has two versions of a 2.0-liter engine: 150 hp. and 200 hp The flagship K50 will receive a 2.0-liter engine with 238 hp. and 8-speed automatic transmission.

The premiere of the flagship Hongqi sedan in Russia is the end of May 2026. The length of the car reaches 6 meters. This is a direct response to German executive sedans, which are no longer officially supplied to the country.

The expected engine is V6 3.0 with 380 hp, 8-speed automatic transmission, all-wheel drive. The cabin features individual second-row seats with multi-point massage, folding tables, and a premium audio system. Finish: rare wood veneer and Nappa leather. For the driver – a virtual dashboard, head-up display, wireless charging and atmospheric lighting.

The new crossover assembled in Kaluga (plant of the AGR holding) is built on the basis of the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max before the update. The front part is unified with the younger Tenet T4 model. T4L length is 4506 mm, wheelbase is 2650 mm.

Essentially, Esteo MX is a deeply updated Exeed TXL. In the Chinese market, an analogue is sold under the name Exeed Sterra E05 (including a hybrid version).

The Tula crossover has updated its units and equipment. The front-wheel drive version received a new 1.5-liter Russian-made turbo engine. Power remained at 150 hp, but torque increased from 230 to 270 Nm, and acceleration to 100 km/h decreased from 10.9 to 9.3 seconds.
All-wheel drive version – with a 2.0-liter engine with 200 hp. Both engines work with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Prices: from 3 million rubles for front-wheel drive, from 3.4 million for all-wheel drive.
