Deputy Mironov proposed introducing a tax on the purchase of expensive cars

Changes are proposed to be made to the Tax Code of the Russian Federation. The text of the bill, prepared by a group of deputies from the A Just Russia faction, led by faction leader Sergei Mironov, is at the disposal of TASS.

According to the bill, when purchasing a car worth more than 20 million rubles or a watercraft/aircraft worth more than 50 million rubles, you will need to pay a one-time tax. Its size will be from 1 to 4% depending on the price.

You will need to pay the fee either within 30 days after purchase, or immediately upon registration – without this, you will not be able to register the property.

The document also introduces increased tax rates on expensive real estate: from 3 to 4% for properties priced over 350 million rubles.

The explanatory note states that the adoption of the law will ensure an influx of additional funds into the budgets of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and municipalities.

Earlier it was reported that the revived Russo-Balt brand promised to reduce prices.
