German engineers developed a unique sports car with the B17 index in the late 1960s together with Pininfarina studio specialists. The main feature of the prototype was an elongated wheelbase. In an unusual model, the developers tried to embody a classic sports car with spacious rear seats. Now the unusual car was first put on free sale.
In the Porsche 911 B17 project, engineers increased the wheel base of a sports car by 190 millimeters, which required a serious refinement of the back of the body. As a result, the elongated roof of the machine merges with the rear racks. At the same time, the creators managed to preserve the recognizable silhouette of the 911 model. In addition to increasing the dimensions, the sports car was heavier up to 1,100 kilograms, as a result of which the position of the center of the masses shifted closer to the rear axle.

Porsche engineers did not plan to produce serially elongated 911. At the same time, experts used some solutions to create a compartment of the following generations. For a long time, the model was stored in the collection of the German brand in Sweden. Then the car passed from hands to private collectors. Initially, the sports car was painted in the dark blue color of the body. Subsequently, one of the owners changed the shade of the sports car to bright green.
Now it will be possible to purchase an exclusive Porsche 911 with a mileage of just over 61 thousand kilometers at least $ 1,250,000 (more than one hundred million rubles at the current rate).
In mid -February, it became known that the unusual Porsche 911 restaurant would be launched from the hammer. The “air” compartment of the Singer DLS coupe then evaluated about three million pounds.
