Expert Tselikov named the disadvantages of the Atom electric car

The head of the analytical agency Autostat, Sergei Tselikov, said during the Promcast podcast that the future electric car turned out to be small and expensive, which is why the new product will be a strictly niche product.

Previously, the Kama startup opened orders for Atom electric cars: anyone can place an order by configuring the car on the project’s official website. The cost of the new product is 4 million rubles, and taking into account state support – 3.1 million rubles.

The length of the car is 3995 mm, width – 1780 mm, height – 1615 mm, and the wheelbase size is 2635 mm. A single electric motor rotates the rear wheels and develops 204 hp. The battery charge should be enough for 500 km.

The upcoming new product on the Russian car market is planned to be used in taxi transportation. Motor magazine asked Andrey Belov, a member of the Public Council for Taxi Development in the Northwestern Federal District, how taxi drivers assess the prospects for the appearance of an electric car.
