Favorite Chinese sedan of Russian special services lost the “robot”

Hongqi brought the modernized H9 to the Chinese market. After restyling passed only a year, so the improvements were limited to equipment. The technique of poor four-cylinder Hongqi H9 was revised: 7DCT’s “robot” refused in favor of a classic 8-speed machine. A 2.0 liter turbo engine (252 forces, 380 Nm) is still combined with a 48-volt starter-generator.

Hongqi H9 can be considered a favorite Chinese sedan of Russian special services, because only updated vehicles in departmental and ministerial garages bought about fifty pieces! It is curious that officially the “nine” of the 2024 model is not presented on the Russian market, and in the representative office they refute preparations for the beginning of deliveries.

While in Russia, they sell Hongqi H9 with a 7-speed pre-sectic “robot”, in China, this type of transmission completely refused: from the 2025 model year, a classic 8-speed automatic will be put in all trim levels. As before, the four-cylinder machines are only rear-wheel drive, but the only rear-wheel drive six-cylinder modification with the spring suspension has disappeared: now the V6 is combined only with the HQ-AWD transmission and pneumatic resistance.

It is interesting that the Hongqi H9 price range remained within the same limits as a year ago: the basic business bar costs 330 thousand yuan (45.7 thousand dollars), the top version will pull 540 thousand yuan (74.7 thousand dollars). In Russia, 2020 cars can be bought for 6.3 million rubles.
