Answering a question about the development of the production site of the AGR holding in Kaluga, where Tenet cars are produced, the governor of the Kaluga region listed localized components and technological operations. In particular, the cars are equipped with Russian glass, exhaust systems and fuel tanks, he said.
“There is a certain level, a number of points that cars must gain in order to enjoy government support. Welding, painting, windshield, GLONASS system, exhaust system, fuel tanks, pistons, spark plugs, steering wheels – this has either already been done or is at the final stage,” Shapsha said in an interview with Gazeta.Ru.
The governor also added that together with Chinese partners from the Defetoo company in Kaluga, it was possible to restore the operation of the engine production plant. He clarified that the AGR holding company in Kaluga produces Tenet crossovers of four models – T4, T4L, T7, T8 and expressed confidence that the company plans to produce a number of other popular models.
Earlier it became known that anthropomorphic robots would appear at Kaluga car factories.
