During the “Business Breakfast” in Rossiyskaya Gazeta, he explained that the Koreans really want to return (their offices continue to operate at reduced capacity and support car repairs), but they are afraid of secondary sanctions, since they have large businesses in the USA, Europe and China.

At the same time, according to Alexey Podshchekoldin, if the decision were made tomorrow, it would take at least six months to launch production and certification, and about a year to restore the dealer network, since many showrooms are already occupied by Chinese brands.

Japanese brands (Toyota and Lexus) are in second place in terms of likelihood of a return, but their share is likely to remain no more than 10-15 thousand cars per year in the premium segment.

European brands, according to the head of ROAD, will be the last to return.
