The Soueast S08 will not hit the market in the near future as it does not have a pure petrol version but only offers a hybrid one. Motor magazine was told about this at the Russian office of the Soueast brand.
At the Beijing International Motor Show, the Soueast brand will present the S08 7-seater crossover. Its length is 4810 mm, width – 1930 mm, height – 1705 mm. Wheelbase – 2820 mm. This is a rechargeable hybrid, which is based on a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 143 hp, which not only acts as a generator, but can also be connected to the front wheels.
The electric motor develops 204 hp, and the total output of the system is 347 hp. and 525 Nm. The traction battery with a capacity of 18.4 kWh is supplied by CATL. On electricity alone, the crossover is capable of covering 89 km on the NEDC cycle.
The model is based on the Jetour X70L, which premiered in September last year. At the same time, Jetour exists only in fuel modifications.
