As follows from RIA Novosti’s analysis of Chinese customs statistics, the volume of imports from China increased 1.8 times compared to March 2025 and amounted to $1.109 billion.
Compared to February 2026, imports increased by about a third. The top three importers of Chinese passenger cars in March also included Brazil ($913.3 million) and Belgium ($803 million).
For comparison, the United States took only 20th place, spending about $131 million on the purchase of vehicles from China.
Thus, Russia confirms its status as one of the key sales markets for the Chinese automobile industry, despite the gradual decline in the share of China in the structure of all imports of new cars into the Russian Federation.
