On June 3, the Russian premiere of the new Hongqi model took place in Moscow. The H6 liftback marking the leaders in his class, in which he occupied the niche, who was released with the departure of the “Germans”, Mercedes-Benz Cla and Audi A5 Sportback. There is a model from 3,890,000 to 4,090,000 rubles and is available in two levels of equipment: Deluxe and Dynamic.

Hongqi (“Honchi”- “Red Banner”) has been present on the Russian market for two years and remains the only official premium brand with the line of business and representative class sedans in the country. At least, so they say in the company itself. To date, the Model Gamma includes H5 and H9 sedans, HS3, HS5 and electric E-HS9 crossovers, as well as HQ9 minivan. With the onset of summer, it was replenished with the first liftback with the H6 index, which in the brand hierarchy will take a niche between H5 and H9.

The H6 liftback refers to the D-class and reaches a length of 4.99 meters, the width is 1.87 meters, the height is 1.45 meters, and the wheelbase is 2.92 meters. It is alleged that H6 has the best in the class of aerodynamics: the air resistance coefficient is 0.27. For this, the shape of the external mirrors was optimized and active air intakes were installed in front.

As in the case of other Hongqi models, a native of Rolls-Royce Jailes Taylor was responsible for the design. The liftback has a massive grille of a radiator with vertical chrome lamellas, which symbolize the waterfall. The anterior and back optics is LED, with dynamic animation, a distinctive feature of all the models of the brand is preserved – a spectacular red strip stretching from the radiator grill to the middle of the hood.

The salon has a 12.6-inch screen of a multimedia system with a Russified interface. Nine airbags are responsible for safety, and from auxiliary systems, blind zones control systems, retention in the strip, emergency braking and preventing clashes at intersections are claimed. H6 has adaptive cruise control.

The new model is proposed in Russia in the only modification with a 2.0 gasoline engine with a capacity of 245 horsepower, an eight -speed gearbox and front -wheel drive. H6 has a completely independent suspension (McPherson in front and multi -link behind), and shock absorbers with intellectual regulation of damping are laid in the top configuration to the car. There is also a system for choosing movement modes with four presets: economical, sports, comfortable, individual.

The start of sales is June 4.

The plans for the second half of 2025 have several more launches in Hongqi. The H6 will follow the full-size HS7 crossover, which will be offered in Russia with a 2.0-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 245 horsepower, an eight-band automatic and all-wheel drive. And at the end of 2025, the luxury sedan of the representative of the representative class will enter the market, which, as again stated in Hongqi, has not yet competitors in the country. A 5.35 meter sedan is equipped with V6 and V8 turbo engines up to 490 forces, the gearbox is automatic with eight steps, and the drive is complete. The prices and configuration of both new products will be made closer to launch.

In total, according to the results of 2025, Hongqi intends to sell 12 thousand cars in Russia. For comparison: the brand sales in 2024 amounted to 7220 pieces, and this is 113 percent more than the 2023rd. So far, everything goes to the fact that the company will achieve the goal: in the first four months of 2025, Hongqi sales increased by 51 percent compared to the same period last year, despite the total fall of the Russian car market.
