In Russia, state support for infrastructure for electric cars will expand

The authorities plan to subsidize not only individual charging stations, but also complex hubs that can simultaneously serve several cars at once. This approach should increase the convenience of charging and stimulate the growth of interest in electric transport in the country.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced the preparation of a new program aimed at supporting the creation of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. Unlike the previous initiative, which operated from 2022 to 2024 and compensated for up to 60 percent of the costs of construction and connecting charging stations, the so -called charging hubs will appear in the new program. These are specialized complexes with many outlets and a powerful electrical installation that provides simultaneous charging several machines.

In Russia, sales of electric cars collapsed by the Rating of Electric Charges in charge of charging: Tesla lost to the Chinese in China created a battery for electric cars with a function of super -speed charging

Today in Russia there are only separate examples of such complexes, one of which in Moscow, where 10 high -speed stations with a capacity of 120 kilowatts each are installed. On average, one charging takes from 35 to 40 minutes. Despite the technological capabilities, the loading of ordinary street “sockets” remains low – only 2-4 percent. According to experts, this situation is due to the fact that owners of electric vehicles most often prefer to charge their cars at home, and not at public stations.

Earlier in Russia, the initiative was discussed on the mandatory installation of charging devices in new buildings. The Ministry of Construction proposed to fix at least 5 percent of parking spaces in residential complexes behind electric cars and hybrid cars, equipping them with the corresponding infrastructure.
