KamAZ told what new products will soon appear on the assembly line

As Motor magazine learned, the truck giant will continue to expand the line of K5 series vehicles. The first to launch production is the special chassis 65951 – with an extended overhang, power take-off and high-load tires. Concrete mixers will be installed at this base.

Another development is the medium-tonnage KamAZ-53251 for the retail sector with a gross weight of 18 tons. This car is driven by a 310 hp diesel engine, which is paired with a 9-speed gearbox.

The closest relative of this vehicle is chassis 63934, on the basis of which equipment for fire-fighting services will be built. Over time, the new product may include firefighting tankers on the KamAZ-43 253 chassis.

The plant is also preparing to launch the three-axle series 6565: 65657 – flatbed truck, 65656 – truck tractor. Such vehicles will compete with Chinese-made 6×4 class vehicles.

Meanwhile, KamAZ celebrated the 50th anniversary of the production of the first car. The first production truck, the KamAZ-5320 flatbed, rolled off the assembly line of the new Soviet auto giant in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny on February 16, 1976.

Over the years, these trucks have become widespread in the post-Soviet space. The name “KAMAZ” has become a household name: people who are not very knowledgeable about technology use the name in everyday life to refer to any heavy truck.
