The project is based on the PV5 Passenger minivan. Its length is 4695 mm, width is 1895 mm, height is 1899 mm, and the wheelbase size is 2995 mm. The electric vehicle is built on a reinforced version of the universal E-GMP platform, which is shaped like a skateboard.
The Korean automaker has created a high-tech company vehicle commissioned by the South Korean National Police Agency.
In June, police will begin testing such Kia PV5. If there are no complaints from the servants of the law, the special vehicle will begin to be mass-produced.
A platform is installed on the roof of the minivan from which patrol drones can be launched: they are equipped with 90x zoom and a thermal imager, which increases patrol safety.
The car is also equipped with an all-round visibility system, whose artificial intelligence, among other things, is capable of identifying wanted criminals.
An electric motor is installed at the front, which develops 163 hp. and 250 Nm. A nickel-manganese-cobalt battery with a capacity of 71.2 kWh provides a range of 400 km.
