“The driver managed to get out. The road was supposed to be officially opened on February 17, but due to instability of the ice it was not. But this did not stop motorists,” the publication says.

Eyewitnesses captured the incident on video. The footage shows that the vehicle is half submerged under water, while a person is standing on the roof of the car.

The recording also shows that rescuers, including emergency medical services, are working at the scene of the accident. The condition of the driver of the car is not known.
