The model, which became a transition between the regular Carrera and the driver’s Carrera GTS, had a modernized turbocharged engine, slightly adjusted the appearance and revised the list of equipment. Among other things, it includes the PTV+ thrust vector control system, which is not available in the base Carrera, as well as HD-Matrix LED headlights, like the latest Macan and Cayenne.
The updated Porsche 911 Carrera S looks similar to the previous 911 Turbo, and is comparable in power to the non-hybrid 911 Carrera GTS. The three-liter twin-turbo “six” with new turbochargers and improved cooling now develops 480 horsepower and 530 Nm of torque. Acceleration to a hundred in the 911 Carrera S coupe takes the same 3.3 seconds (with the Sport Chrono package, without it – 3.5 seconds) as in the pre-reform 911 Carrera 4 GTS. Maximum speed is 308 kilometers per hour.

The standard equipment of the restyled sports car has been revised and, among other things, includes different-sized wheels (front 20 inches, rear – 21), a sports exhaust and a PTV+ thrust vector control system, which the regular Carrera does not have. The brakes have been upgraded to the level of the 911 Carrera GTS, the kinematics of the front axle have been changed and the shock absorbers have been recalibrated. Options include carbon-ceramic PCCB, HD-Matrix LED headlights, and PASM suspension with lowering and swivel rear axle.
The interior of the 911 Carrera S is generously upholstered in natural leather by default, and for an additional fee it can also be used to cover the glove box lid, the sides of the front panel and the bases of the seats. The model will be offered in coupe and convertible body styles. The drive is exclusively rear-wheel drive. In Germany, for a two-door with a hard roof they ask from 154,800 euros, for an open version – from 169,000 euros. At the same time, the convertible will be slightly slower than the coupe: 3.5 seconds to hundred with the Sport Chrono package and 3.7 without it.
