As Sergei Tselikov, head of the Avtostat agency, reported in his Telegram channel, in January-March 2026, Russian dealers sold 3,265 new Chery cars.

“In the first quarter of 2026, 3,265 new Chery cars were sold. This is almost 8 times less than in three months of last year (-87.3%), when dealers sold 25,757 cars of this brand,” Tselikov said.

However, such a sharp decline did not lead to an overall deterioration in the group’s results. In the first three months, the same dealers sold 27,863 Tenet cars – models that are visually and structurally almost identical to the three Chery models.

In total, sales of the combined Chery-Tenet line reached 31,128 units, which is 21% more than a year ago. This result significantly exceeds the overall dynamics of the Russian car market, which grew by 7.3%.
