According to Rosstandart, the body that controls the response campaigns of cars, over the past five years, the number of cars that required repair due to factory shortcomings has exceeded the mark of 1.7 million pieces. Most automakers agree and conduct reviews voluntarily at their own expense, but with some companies Rosstandart “have to act more rigidly.”

In a conversation with TASS, the head of Rosstandart Anton Shalaev said that right now the department is conducting checks of several automobile companies for possible defects in cars. He did not specify what kind of brands we are talking about, since “checks have not yet been finished.”

At the beginning of the year, it became known that the National Automobile Union (us) turned to Rosstandart with a request to conduct an additional check of the safety of Changan cars sold in Russia.
