The first batch of UAZ “Patriot” reached Cuba

A batch of cars was delivered to the island for the administrations of local provinces, Izvestia writes, citing representatives of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant. There are a total of 16 SUVs in the lot with the same configuration and body color. They were specially modified for the tropical climate of Cuba.

UAZ shared a photo of the unloading process, which took place at the port of Mariel in the Havana region. “Patriots” intended for Cubans received silicone hoses and special oils, as well as copper radiators and special thermostats.

UAZ will continue to supply cars to Cuba next year. Whether it will be just the Patriots is unclear.
