On January 27, 2025, AvtoVAZ began installing a six -speed gearbox on the model, which was supplied to the Russian plant from China. The new box works with the 1.8 EVO engine and, as certified in AvtoVAZ, it “overlaps” its traction characteristics with a margin, as it is designed to transfer torque to 220 nm. Vesta with a six -speed “mechanics” is dynamically accelerated and characterized by efficiency.

In order to install the Chinese “mechanics” on the Vesta, the primary shaft, a clutch and gearbox, the choice of selection and gear shifts, was changed, and a cable drive was finalized to optimize the leverage and efforts of the transmission. The box was adapted to work in Russian transmission oil Rosneft, which is effective at low temperatures.

In AvtoVAZ, it is stated that the progressive technology for the manufacture of shafts and gears contributes to a low level of noise and vibration during operation. “All transmissions, including the back, are synchronized, while three -leather synchronizers with high wear resistance are used in the first and second gears,” the car manufacturer said in the official statement of the car.
