At a press approach to journalists in Togliatti, Maxim Sokolov explained why a more compact and affordable car should still be considered the most advanced. The top manager said that Lada Iskra is superior to Vesta in the novelty of the platform and is “ahead of the coming in many respects”. According to the head of AvtoVAZ, the ISKRA family will remain in the status of the flagship for at least a year.

Maxim Sokolov made it clear that Lada ISKRA will give in technological leadership after promising B-CROSS and B-Van models stand on the conveyor. It is curious that both new products will be built on the modernized Vesta platform. The presentation of the crossover is expected this summer at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the minivan will stay for a year.

From the point of view of size, status and price, the flagship of AvtoVAZ can be considered Lada Aura. Stretch Sedan costs from 2.6 million rubles, that is, the basic version is approximately twice as much as Sparks. Maxim Sokolov says carefully about the circulations of the new auto giant. The top manager recalled that last year there were plans to release 40, 50 and even 60 thousand LADA ISKRA before the end of the year, but now the market simply does not need so many cars.

At AvtoVAZ, it is believed that in the near future LADA ISKRA will not replace on the conveyor of Granta. They plan to abandon the cheapest model only when the annual sales fall below the mark of 30 thousand pieces. Now demand is much higher: only in the first quarter of 2025 the dealers managed to sell 31 thousand Lada Granta.
