The new Haval F8 crossover is waiting in Russia: Details and photos

F8 is an export name for the Haval Xiaolong Max, which debuted in 2023. In his native China, the model did not gain popularity, the sales were weak, so Haval hastened to present a new, second generation of the crossover, and at the same time expand the territory of its presence. It will cover Russia, which has become known last year.

Xiaolong Max was supposed to enter our market in the fall of 2024, and a few copies even entered the country in parallel imports. These were crossovers equipped with a hybrid installation, which included a 1.5-liter ICE and an electric motor on the rear axle. The drive is complete, and the battery capacity is 20 kilowatt hours-it provides a margin of 83 kilometers in pure electricity.

We did not wait for the official launch of the Xiaolong Max of the first generation, probably because Haval was already preparing to launch a second generation model.

HAVAL

The novelty differs from the predecessor with the design of the exterior: it has a different front part with the highlighting logo of the HAVAL, there is no radiator grill, instead of it – a trapezoidal air intake. A monophone appeared on the stern, in the center of which is also a luminous inscription, and the rear racks are darkened.

The “second” Xiaolong Max is given in the new generation hybrid installation, which is not yet. It is only known that the internal combustion engine in its composition is still one and a half-liter, and its power is 116 horsepower. From certification documents it also follows that the crossover has 19-inch wheels, the angles of entry and the exit are 20 and 23 degrees, respectively.

Xiaolong Max was confirmed for Russia during a closed event for dealers. Then it was about versions with a hybrid installation and ordinary gasoline ICE, and even the estimated prices were announced – 4.2-4.9 million rubles.
