The new Porsche car accelerates to 100 km/h in 1.8 seconds

Porsche is preparing for the 2026/2027 Formula E season with a new GEN4 car, the 975 RSE. The car, which replaced the 99X Electric, received a futuristic design. Improved aerodynamics provide increased downforce, which should significantly improve lap times. Carscoops reports this.

In the new season, the power plants of Formula E cars will be upgraded: in Attack Mode, the power will reach 805 hp. with all-wheel drive and new tires. In normal mode, power will be limited to 604 hp. All cars will receive a 51.25 kWh battery. The GEN4 accelerates to 100 km/h in 1.8 seconds, and the 975 RSE weighs just 954 kg.

The recuperation system on the front and rear axles allows the new cars to recover up to 700 kW of energy when braking. They are also capable of accepting charging power up to 600 kW. But the real highlight for fans of the electric racing series will be the appearance of the GEN4 cars.
