Skywell has decided to curtail its presence in the Russian market in the winter of 2025. The brand came to Russia in the fall of 2022, but demand was insufficient. Now the company is returning, but will offer equipment of a completely different category, namely electric buses.
Skywell electric buses underwent the certification procedure under the new brand “Neva Electro”. The latter launched a corporate website, where passenger cars of medium and high capacity are announced.
Both models are equipped with 120-kilowatt electric motors and have a claimed range of 300 km. Version 6856 is designed to carry 62, and version 6108 – 80 passengers.
Unipack Auto LLC is declared as the legal entity responsible for the brand: this company owns the former MAN and Scania plant, where the production of BAZ trucks was launched some time ago.
Previously, several sources reported that the plant would produce Chinese electric buses. This will make it possible to supply equipment to carriers under government contracts.
