The Japanese automaker Toyota will hold another closed meeting with Russian dealers. The event will last three days and will be held in Thailand, said the former head of the Russian Automobile Dealers Association (ROAD) Oleg Moseev in his Telegram channel.
“Toyota is waiting for dealers for a 3-day meeting in Thailand,” Moseev wrote.
Let us remind you that Toyota stopped the production of cars in Russia and stopped exporting finished cars to the country in the spring of 2022. Then the company explained this by problems with the supply of components and disruptions in production chains and export channels.
The plant in St. Petersburg, opened at the end of 2007 and producing Camry and RAV4 models, operated until March 2022. At that time, Toyota had been present on the Russian market for more than 20 years: the Moscow representative office opened in 1998, and the official start of Toyota Motor’s activities in Russia was given in April 2002.
Earlier it became known about Volkswagen’s plans to build an army assault vehicle.
