At the industrial site of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, the installation of a new press line continues, which will produce body parts for the promising Sollers S9 SUV. Izvestia was informed about this by the press service of the enterprise.
“The new press line is being installed for the subsequent production of body elements for the Sollers model range, including the promising S9 SUV, and UAZ. This equipment will ensure the prompt production of high-quality parts and will make a significant contribution to increasing the volume of cars produced,” the company said.
As the plant clarified, five presses for stamping parts for Sollers pickup trucks, and in the future for UAZ cars, are already undergoing testing. The line will reach full capacity in the near future.
At the same time, preparation of the foundation for the sixth press with a force of 2500 tons-force is being completed in the frame building – it will take place in the first span. In the second half of 2026, it is planned to place another new crane with a lifting capacity of 50 tons in the building for moving die equipment.
Earlier it was reported that the former Toyota plant in Shushary will begin production of Senat 900 sedans.
