BYD is preparing for the export of SEALION 8 – this is the export name of the large SUV sold in the PRC under the name Tang L. It will be sent abroad in an extremely hybrid version, although an electric one is proposed in the homeland. Set the Sealion 8 will be in different regions, including Australia and Europe.
The basic Byd Sealion 8 DM-I is equipped with a 1.5-liter “turbo-fame”, which develops 150 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque. The pair is the electric motor for 272 forces (315 Nm) installed on the front axle. It is powered from a 19 kilowatt hour-hour battery. Up to 100 kilometers per hour, such a crossover accelerates in 8.6 seconds.
A more powerful option, DM-P, is equipped with the same ICE 1.5, but it has two electric motors: the rear is added, issuing 192 forces and 360 nm of torque. In addition, such a Sealion 8 received a larger battery for 35.6 kilowatt hours. The “passport” time of acceleration from place to “hundreds” is only 4.9 seconds.

BYD does not reveal the full stock of the course, however, being a hybrid, it clearly wins by this indicator with competitors from Hyundai and Kia.
