The Chinese auto giant united with compatriots from DJI – manufacturer of multicopters, microcontrollers and video equipment. Together they developed a drone station installed on cars, which can be controlled from the screen of the multimedia system or through the application. Such a site can already be equipped with several models, and in the future, drones will be attached to all BYD cars.
The main part of the system is a platform on a roof with an area of 0.29 square meters with three built -in sensors for positioning drone. He can sit down and take off from the platform at speeds up to 25 kilometers per hour. The maximum speed of the drone on which it can follow the car is 54 kilometers per hour.
It can automatically return to the site for recharging the battery, finding a car within a radius of two kilometers. It will take about half an hour to charge from 20 to 80 percent.

The drone will be able to follow the car on top and shoot videos, and you can control it through the Ling Yuan mobile application or the screen of the BYD media system.
