Finalists of the World Car of the Year Awards were announced

This season of the World Car of the Year competition started in the fall of 2024, in January the short lines were published, and now it became known which cars went to the final. BMW X3, Hyundai Inster/Casper Electric and Kia EV3 will compete for the victory in the main nomination. It is noteworthy that last year the same brands – BMW, Hyundai and Kia, but with other models, entered the final. Then the KIA EV9 was recognized as a car, and in two nominations at once – the main and “electric car of the year”.

Models applying for the title of “World Car of the Year” this season must meet certain requirements. Firstly, they should be officially represented in at least two continents and in two main markets (China, Europe, India, Japan, Korea, Latin America or the USA). Secondly, the annual volume of their production should be at least 10 thousand copies. Thirdly, they should cost below the level of luxury cars.
