For a month, the Russians bought more than half a million cars with mileage

This follows from statistics for April 2025, which is published by Avtostat. In the second month of spring, 509.67 thousand cars resold in Russia, which is 13.7 percent more than in April 2024. The LADA models are still most popular, Toyota has retained the second place, and Kia and Hyundai follow it. Closes the five Nissan leaders.

For April, the Russians bought 135.5 thousand used Lada cars, 49.6 thousand Toyota, 27.9 thousand Kia, 27.2 thousand Hyundai and 21.8 thousand Nissan. By the year, a positive dynamics is observed only in LADA – demand has grown by 6.2 percent, while the rest of the brands went minus. Nissan sales fell stronger than others – 9.3 percent.

If we consider sales of specific models, then most often in Russia LADA 2107 is resold: in April it diverged in an amount of 13.1 thousand pieces. The Avtostat noted that in comparison with March, all the models were “in the plus”, and the demand for Kia Rio – 16.4 percent more strongly grew. In annual terms, negative dynamics is recorded only in Lada 4×4 and Toyota Corolla (-12 and -9.2 percent, respectively).

In the first four months of 2025, the secondary market increased by 2.3 percent, to 1.775 million cars.
