From the restart of the production of the former Hende Motor Manufacturing Rus, which operates under the AGR sign, exactly one year has passed. The plant resumed the production of cars after several years of downtime: four models under the Solaris brand began to go from the assembly line. This is Solaris HS and HC – they are also renamed Hyundai Solaris and Creta, respectively, as well as Solaris KRS and KRX (Kia Rio and Rio X). Now AGR sums up intermediate results.

Over the year since the restart, the plant produced 26 thousand cars, 22 thousand of which for the incomplete 2024 year, and the remaining four thousand for two months of 2025. Solaris HS, aka Hyundai Solaris in the past, entered the three leaders in the segment of the sedan of the Russian car market following the results of last year, and Solaris KRS (Kia Rio) was recognized as a “car of the year in Russia.”

AGR said that the plant completely abandoned the technical support of foreign partners, optimized internal logistics processes and increased the autonomy of production. Now 245 robots are involved in the production process. At the same time, cooperation with Russian suppliers was resumed and new partners were involved in the uninterrupted work of the enterprise.

One of the main goals of AGR is the deepening of localization. Over the past year, new business and production processes have been launched at the AGR Automobile Plant, which made it possible to increase efficiency and bring the enterprise to a new level of autonomy.

As for sales of Solaris car, they started in March last year. For 10 months of 2024, 19,243 cars were sold, 23 percent of which were purchased by corporate clients.
