Mazda prepares a mysterious “green” crossover for the Chinese

The novelty was shown in the first video, and there are few details so far. It is known that this is a joint development of Mazda and Changan, which is already ready for mass production and will appear under the name EZ-60. The crossover is electrified, so, probably, one of the existing Changan electrocrodists, for example Deepal S05, is taken as a basis. The latter soon must officially enter the Russian market.

The serial EZ-60 was announced in the Chinese social networks of Mazda, so it is logical to assume that the debut will take place in the PRC and the nearest suitable event-a car dealership in Shanghai, which will open in April.

According to one version, the EZ-60 is a serial embodiment of last year’s concept of Mazda Arata, but no longer the original development of the Japanese brand, but the “clone” of one of the actual models of Changan’s sub-brands. The video shown only the silhouette of the EZ-60 crossover, and its dimensions can be evaluated very conditionally, but the deepal S05 or S07 are most suitable for the “donor”, which the Russians will have to meet soon.

Mazda will resign four models in 2025 on the new Mazda CX-5 will debut the SkyActiv-Zda engine responded to the development of a frame SUV

This version also looks logical also because the Mazda model line already has a car based on Deepal-the Mazda EZ-6 liftback (also known as Mazda 6e in the European market), which was taken as the basis of Deepal SL03.

The debut market for Mazda EZ-60, obviously, will become China. Later, the model can be exported to Europe and sell there under a different name, like the EZ-6. Probably, it was for this crossover that the Japanese automaker previously registered the CX-6E trading sign in Europe.
