Photo fact: Futuristic electric buses KamAZ entered the line in Moscow

The telegram channel “Buses and in general” found out that on June 12, the real operation of the “battery” transport of a new generation began in the capital. Futuristic electric buses KAMAZ-52222 came to the line: the first dozen cars were seen on routes 384 and 384K. The novelty is different from the usual buses and electric buses of the 5222 and 6282 family both externally and technically.

KAMAZ won a tender for the supply of 400 electric buses of the 52222 family: a contract, taking into account 15 years of service and repair, cost a budget of 29 billion rubles. These cars should come to Moscow until the end of 2025. There is another tender – for 700 cars and 53 billion rubles – KAMAZ is also considered a favorite, and “52222” electric buses are suitable for conditions.

An electric bus of 18 tons is designed for 85 passengers, can move on an electric protrusion at a distance of 100 kilometers and completely charged in 15-20 minutes.

Each electric bus cost about 34.8 million rubles to Moscow, and at the 15-year service of the same combination in the budget it was laid in another 37.9 million rubles. In other regions of Russia, such expenses cannot afford such expenses: electric buses are still a rarity, and even diesel buses are operating more “normative” ten years.
