Racing Porsche 963 adapted for operating on public roads

Supercar received the RSP prefix, a reconfigured suspension and power plant. The car was seized with the skin and alcantara, adding a carbon fiber helmet, a cup holder and a set of tools as a bonus.

The ideologist of the Road Porsche 963 RSP project was the president and general director of Porsche Cars North America Timo Resh. The Porsche 917K Theophilo Gviscardo Russia Dee Montelier, adapted for ordinary roads more than 50 years ago, inspired him to create such a machine. Porsche AG, Porsche Pensche Penske Motorsport, and Roger himself Surla Pensk, whose initials are indicated in the title, were attracted to the construction of the Tribe-Kara.

Like the 917K Count Rossi, 963 RSP as close as possible to the racing car. The designers only covered the holes in the front wings with grilles, removed the end plate from the rear anti-wing and replaced the nasal logo-lane with a traditional enameled coat of arms. OZ Racing wheels on the road machine are shod in Michelin rain tires with logo from the 70s. The color of the body (silver Martini Silver) and the salon (brown) are selected in such a way as to emphasize the connection with the Rossi car even more strongly.

There are changes in technology. Multimatic DSSV adjustable shock absorbers have received the most “soft” settings of the possible. In addition, the road clearance was increased, the lighting control unit was modified and the power plant was re -distributed. The main role in it is still assigned to the Burburbosmarka 4.6, which divides 80% of the components with the 918 Spyder unit. The MGU motor, clamped between the internal combustion engine and the gearbox, was reconfigured under a smoother power supply, and the V8 itself was transferred to ordinary gasoline. The power remained the same – 680 horsepower.

You can really travel to public roads and “wear” 963 RSP numbers, but with some reservations.
