The first photos of the new Chinese analogue Volkswagen Jetta appeared

Pictures and information about the new product were published by the Chinese Ministry of Industry. The photographs captured Sagitar the next generation – under this name in the PRC since 2019, an elongated analogue of the global drestiLaying Jetta has been sold, and its joint venture Volkswagen and FAW produces. Sagitar, which, by the way, is carried to Russia by parallel imports, will replace the generation in the Chinese market in the third quarter of 2025.

Judging by the first photographs, Volkswagen has modernized the exterior of Sagitar: the optics have already become, ordinary door handles were replaced by sliding, the rear lamp is now a single one, and the radiator grille shifted below, which visually makes the sedan more squat. He has 17-inch wheels. From certification documents it follows that with a change in the generation of the four -door will become larger, but slightly: the length will exceed 4.8 meters against the previous 4.79.

The interior in the photographs of the Ministry of Industry and Trade did not light up, however, as the Autohome Chinese portal writes, the new Sagitar will receive a virtual instrument panel, a projection display and, probably, an additional screen for the passenger in front.

As for the motor gamut, so far for the next generation Sagitar, only one unit has been confirmed – a gasoline “turbocharger” with a volume of 1.5 liters with a capacity of 160 horsepower. The gearbox, with a high degree of probability, will be the same as the predecessor – the “robot” of DSG.

This model can also be interesting to Russians because the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture announced the Jetta VA7 sedan based on the first-generation Sagitar. And the Jetta brand is officially represented in our market, so, probably, VA7 will sooner or later reach Russia.
