An electric car of the third generation is prepared for the premiere. It will be presented on June 18, but for now, Nissan shared the details of the power plant. A new electric motor debuts on Leaf, which will surpass the predecessor unit in power, and thanks to the optimized thermoregulation system, the powerage range will increase in cold weather.
The new power plant includes a 214 horsepower electric motor and 355 nm of torque. For comparison: Actual Leaf is available with the EM57 electric motor for 150 or 218 horsepower. The new unit is also more compact than the previous one, so there was enough space under the hood on the climate installation block, while the salon became more spacious.
The container of the third-generation electric car has not yet been made public, the predecessor is offered with batteries with a capacity of 40 or 62 kilowatt hours to choose from.

Earlier it was reported that the “third” LEAF coefficient of aerodynamic resistance is 0.26 in the version for the Japanese and American markets and 0.25 in European specifications.
