The premium brand Hongqi promised Russians three new products in 2025

The release schedule for new cars has been declassified. The H6 sports liftback will be the first to go on sale – this will happen in the first half of the year. Around the same time, the generation will be replaced by the seven-seater Hongqi HS7. And in the middle of next year there will be a Russian premiere of L1, a luxury Hongqi model that debuted first in Shanghai and then in Paris.

Let’s start with the Hongqi H6, a D-class liftback. It is known about this model that it will be offered in Russia with a 245-horsepower gasoline turbo engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The car accelerates from zero to “hundreds” in 6.8 seconds. Prices are still unknown, but most likely the new product will be slightly more expensive than the H5 sedan, which as of early December costs from 4.79 million rubles.

The second generation HS7, which could potentially replace the outgoing Toyota Highlander for Russians, is equipped with a two-liter engine with 252 horsepower and a 48-volt starter-generator, and the transmission is an eight-speed automatic. In China, the model also has an all-wheel drive option with an electronically controlled clutch at the rear.

The serial Hongqi L1 was shown in Paris, which will be brought to Russia. Hongqi impressed with the prices of the large Guoya sedan: they are waiting for it in Russia. Electric sedan Hongqi E009: new photos and characteristics

But the L1 sedan (also known under the name Guoya) has just acquired prices in China, and will not reach Russia until the middle of next year. This is the flagship of the Hongqi civilian line, which will cost the Chinese 1.4 million yuan – more than 19 million rubles at today’s exchange rate. Only limousines for the PRC party elite and Xi Jinping’s custom armored cars are more expensive on the Chinese market. The price of the model is comparable to the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, for which local dealers are asking the same 1.4 million yuan.

Two power plants are announced for the L1, both hybrid. The first is with a three-liter FAW engine with 394 horsepower, the second with a V8 4.0 with 490 horsepower. The gearbox is an eight-speed automatic, all-wheel drive. Hongqi has already brought L1 to the Russian EEF 2024, and it was equipped with a V6 3.0 biturbo engine with a power of 380 horsepower.
