In November, sales of new cars in the Russian Federation showed the worst result in the last nine months – 121,884 units sold. As a result, the country lost three positions in the European standings at once. Germany is still the leader, where 244,544 cars were sold in the last autumn month – 0.5 percent less than in November last year, according to the consulting company GlobalData.
The second largest car market in Europe is the UK. In November, 153,610 units were sold there, down 1.9 percent from the same month in 2023. France closes the top three with 133,318 vehicles and a drop of 12.7 percent year-on-year.
Fourth place went to Italy (124,251 units, -10.8 percent), and Russia came in fifth. Spain follows closely behind with 83,339 passenger cars and an increase of 6.4 percent.

Compared to October 2024, sales of new cars in Russia decreased by 29 percent. Two thirds of the cars sold belong to five brands – Lada, Haval, Chery, Geely and Changan.
As for models, the championship belongs to the Lada Granta, which sold almost 16 thousand units. Lada Vesta took second place (about nine thousand), third place went to Haval Jolion (5.5 thousand units).
